PYCM Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Chenevottes' 2022
This is even more floral-suffused with its nose of petrol, lemon rind and soft wood. The rich and quite generously proportioned middleweight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while exuding a more subtle bead of minerality on the balanced, lingering and citrus-tinged finish. Once again this is sufficiently forward to allow for good early drinkability yet should have no trouble repay a decade plus of keeping.
OUTSTANDING. 90-93 points, drink 2030+, Allen Meadows, Burghound.
The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes opens in the glass with notes of honeyed pear, white flowers, freshly baked bread and beeswax. Medium to full-bodied, lively and structured, it's taut and chalky, foregrounding this site's shallow, stony soils more than its sunny exposition. 92-94 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate.
