Matrot Volnay 1er Cru 'Santenots' 2022

The Volnay Santenots terroir, located in the town of Meursault, produces red wines which are complex. They are rich, well-structured and elegant. Black fruits dominate the bouquet, underlined by soft and velvety tannins. - Adèle & Elsa Matrot 

Another fine vibrant colour. The nose has a degree of elegance, if not quite as much volume as a Santenots-du-Milieu would have. Then richer on the second half of the palate, sunnier in style, but with good weight. Dark cherries. This has been racked.
