Mader Rosacker Grand Cru Riesling 2021

From 60+ year old vines located near the top of the Grand Cru vineyard (limestone base) which is home to the famous ‘Clos St Hune’ Riesling from Trimbach (which retails at $600). Such a classy wine here: immediately impressive with is delivery of slightly golden fruit, crushed rock and talc-like texture. It's intense but also effortless. A 30 year wine, if you want it to be, but already plenty going on to be enjoyed in its youth. - Ches Cook, FWC.
