A beautiful nose of honied crumpets with a drizzle of lime oil. Flavours of golden pear, red apple and bronzed peach. The palate is beautifully resolved and mellow, yet still full and mouth-filling (most likely aided by the 12 grams of residual sugar which brings enhanced body to the wine rather than any obvious sweetness). The acid line remains lively and fresh. This wine is in a fantastic drinking window now at 24 years of age. What an absolute bargain this is. Quick tip: be gentle and slow as you take the cork out. – Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
