An aromatic and textured white wine made from old vines (80-170 years) of Semillon and Moscatel. A few days of skin contact gives this wine a slight tannic edge. Fermentation with native yeast in concrete tank.
Leonardo Erazo works with historic vineyards in Itata in Southern Chile, a nearly forgotten Viticultural valley some 400km south of Santiago. Leo has been named ‘Top 10 winemakers in South America’ by Decanter and is a rare talent. The diversity of experience and knowledge he possesses on all subjects surrounding wine is imposing. He traveled the world for a decade working for various estates doing research in soil science, geology and biodynamics. Leo has completed Masters on Terroir and has been mentored by Pedro Parra. For all this, you’ll struggle to find a more humble human. His wines express soil and place and are full of vibrancy, tension, freshness and joy.
