Yarra Yering Dry White No. 1 2022

A blend of 85/15% semillon/chardonnay, picked and fermented separately (the chardonnay fermented in older wood). A super-bright colour. Flinty with aromas of wet stone, green apples and pear. Terrific definition on the palate, which has some textural richness but is restrained and tightly wound at the same time. Chalky and long. A great food wine that'll also age gracefully over the next few years. 96 points, drink by 2032, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.
