Ten Minutes By Tractor 'McCutcheon' Pinot Noir 2022
This absolutely leaps from the glass (note: drink from a big Burgundy glass) with huge aromas of Aperol, exotic flowers and Chinese five spice. It's got plenty of substance and detail, with some brown twig and Sichuan pepper through the second half. Drinking this along side a good bottle of Vosne Romanee would be a fascinating comparison. - Ches Cook, FWC. (August 2024)
McCutcheon is a more voluminous wine compared to Judd, with more density and weight to the primary fruit flavours. This tends to hold the wine in good stead across a ten year period, as the body of the wine softens and slowly unfurls as it ages. For now, it shows added tannin and overall richness, so I would favour the Judd if drinking young, but perhaps take the McCutcheon for the cellar. – Ches Cook, FWC. (June 2023).
