Riley Harrison Tan Fresca Grenache Blanc 2025
Riley seems to really know how to get the best out of southern Rhone varieties, including the whites. Here he presents a tempered version of Grenache Blanc yet manages to retain genuine fruit character and flavour. It's not as simple as picking early to avoid high alcohols or flabby fruit: Riley treads a fine line between restraint and flavour and pulls it off perfectly. Expect flavours of white peach, lemon balm and limefinger with mealy texture throughout. - Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
Grenache Blanc grown in the deep sandy soils of Blewitt Springs. These grapes are from an Eastern facing slope on the Cross family's Marmont Vineyard. 24 hours of cold skin contact is carried out to build texture. Highly aromatic and unashamedly thirst slaking. Fresh cut pear, lime leaf and white florals abound. A subtle chalky texture provides focus and drives the flavour long after the wine has left the mouth. Refreshment factor is high here. Riley's notes.
