Mount Pleasant Aged Elizabeth Semillon 2019

Nice to taste this stalwart after missing a couple of vintages.

It’s very light as at now, nice and pure, and kind of water coloured in a way, but there’s enough flavour to get the job done. Fresh lime and lemon barley water, lemongrass. Cool and a little flinty, with a good finish, pale lemon accented in the aftertaste. Subtle, yes, but for me, the beauty is in the fine detail. 93+ points, drink 2020-2030, Gray Walsh, the Wine Front (reviewed August 2020).
