Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Strong, healthy red-purple; a distinguished vintage for this Margaret River blue blood wine, medium-bodied but with innate complexity; fine savoury tannins run through the black fruits and cassis of the palate, putting structure in place so subtly you can barely notice it, nor the length of the palate. Drink to 2028. 96 Points, Halliday Wine Companion (2011).
Very deep garnet-purple colored, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon gives a powerful, multi-faceted nose of warm cassis, blackberry preserves, hung meat and violets over damp earth, black olives, black truffles and slightly burnt toast. Rich, full bodied and layered in the mouth, it has a great backbone of medium-high, balanced acid and medium-firm finely grained tannins. The finish is very long. A knock-out year for this benchmark Margaret River Cabernet! Enjoy it now through 2023+. 95+ Poitns. Lisa Perotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate (2011).
