Moorooduc Estate Pinot Noir 2021
$45
Now, this has come together beautifully and appears so gentle and refined. Subtle aromas of spiced cherries and autumnal leaves, sumac and woodsy spices. The palate is shy of medium-bodied with fine, lacy tannins, a core of sweet-ish fruit and a savoury overlay. It’s compelling and totally enticing, so it’s a shame this is not out now – boo hoo! In 2024 apparently, but worth following up. Drink to 2028. 94 points, Jane Faulkner, Halliday's Wine Companion.
We just had Kate McIntyre swing by with her new vintage Pinots - three of them and all punching high above their pay grade. Super autumnal dam leaves in the forest with dried rose petal. Light on it's feet and totally delicious. Ian Cook - August 2024
