Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2022

I tasted the three Curly Flat 2022 Pinot Noirs masked and for this one I wrote: The most complete of the three. Given that they're all excellent quality, that may be all that you need to know.

I like the stringiness of this, the tension, the fruit, the length. It's real pinot. It feels as though it's desperate to rush forward but it holds itself back until it gets to the finish, where it runs. It has a minerally aspect, a sour ripeness, a thread of woodsmoke, a garni of herbs. It will cellar beautifully. It's cool, ripe, savoury, seamless and long. 95 points, drink 2026-2033+, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front.
