New oak maturation for six months and 12 months in tank prior to bottling. Inky purple in the glass and full of grungy cabernet franc aromas. Bilberry, ripe blueberries, plum and shiso leaf. Potting soil, crushed lead pencil and tar. Anise and juniper. The weight sits upfront in the middle palate, allowing the acidity to slide around the sides, carrying fine tannins and a sappy succulence.
