Williams Paolo Medina Fino en Rama 2010
Fino en rama 2010 500ml
saca de enero 2019
Product of a cool and humid vintage. This shows an enormous depth of nutty, salty complexity; hazelnuts, and toasted honeyed almonds. There is some candied citrus peel and some rounded fruit upfront, but it is all about the grippy, briny, salty finish of endless length. What a wine. This bottling is the last saca of this Fino. FWC.
Based on old vines in Pagos Añina and Carrascal (jerez). Product of a cool, humid vintage. The 2019 saca is the last bottling of this incredible Fino. ‘Jaleo’ means a ‘racket’ or ‘commotion’… it sure gives us the commotions! ‘el Jaleo’ is the title of a John Singer Sargent oil depicting a flamenco scene… Hints of brassy development, really mature standing grass, traces of fine caramelised toffee as pure perfume, weightless and dry. Great depth without weight, very true to style, tangy as heck, whisper clear and still with a trace of whisky-wildness. Scott Wasley, The Spanish Acquisition.
