Callejuela 'La Choza' Palomino 2021
$65
The unfortified white 2021 La Choza comes from 17-year-old vines in Macharnudo that fermented in Manzanilla casks, where the wine matured with flor and fine lees for six or seven months, which gives the wine a smoky and spicy aroma and the oily texture from the veil of yeasts. It has 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.19, fresh and clean with a spicy twist. 3,800 bottles were filled in March 2022. Drink 2022-2026. 91 Points. Luis Guttierez, The Wine Advocate.
