Vignerons Schmolzer & Brown 'Village' Riesling 2024

The ‘village’ Riesling this year is a cracker. Bone dry and detailed, but with ample primary fruit to mask the high acidity. It’s a wine of purity and definition, melding citrus tones with wet stone and orchard fruit. Some barrel fermentation has been used to bring complexity and soften the acid profile. Clearly a perfect mix of great farming and resulting fruit, with deft winemaking. – Ches Cook, Five Way Cellars.
