It is light and lovely, with moderate concentration and palate softness. 94 pts, Toni Paterson, The Wine Companion\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStevens Semillon comes from the Tyrrell family-owned Stevens Vineyard on Marrowbone Road, Pokolbin, our southernmost Semillon vineyard. It features a combination of light, sandy loams and darker, heavier transitional soils with the oldest plantings being from 1911.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs always, Stevens Semillon was one of the first Semillon blocks that we picked. In 2021, picking took place in the early hours of the morning on the 26, 27, and 28 January. The grapes were lightly pressed, and the free-run juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine stayed in these tanks until bottling in early July 2021.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eClassic Stevens, with its vibrant citrus lift and a touch of herbaceousness in the background.
