We have been singing the praises of the Lubiana NV for some years (and continue to) – it smashes the likes of Moet, Piper and Veuve. Now we have (for the first time) a really serious Blanc de Blancs. A little whiff of Chablis with its oyster shell, tight mineral and saline notes combining with lovely white florals, excellent secondary nutty, bready notes from 4 years on lees and super fresh acidity giving line and length. Highly recommended. You could easily forget about Champagne and buy Tasmanian. Snap up a few lobsters while you're at it. Ian Cook, FWC.
