Riley Harrison 'Samson' Cinsault 2023

Riley's first attempt at a straight Cinsault and he's nailed it. A light red but with interest throughout. It's crunchy and fresh but hold heaps on interest in elements of savoury herb and Provencal garrigue. Riley says he is "leaning into the lighter side of things" but he does it while achieving full ripeness and flavour. Where others produce light and under ripe wine when attempting such a style, he achieves energetic, and flavourful wines that still sits light on the palate. - Ches Cook, FWC.
