'Whole bunch, foot stomped, pressed to old, larger oak. From Lot 13, McLaren Vale. Grenache.
Spicy, peppery, sweet cherry and raspberry notes, whiffs of kirsch. Sloshes into the slippery palate nicely, sweeter feeling that expected, good soft sheath of tannins, nice, light pucker and chew with excellent length and a fine, succulent finish. This has some mojo.' - 92 points. Mike Bennie, Wine Front
Handpicked Grenache from the Lot 13 vineyard in McLaren Vale & farmed without the use of systemic nor synthetic chemical inputs. Fermented wild as 100% wholebunch & foot-stomped once daily for the first 5 days of ferment. The resulting wine was pressed direct to neutral oak & remained on full solids for 5 months where battonage occurred once monthly. Settled in stainless steel and bottled by hand. Unfined and unfiltered.
