You can taste the maceration and the powdery bloom of the grape skins, with bold cherry skin, apricot, bramble, blue flower and mountain herb. Ashy, smoky and deeply volcanic nuances frame a medium- to full-bodied mouthfeel. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matures for 18 months in large oak casks and cement. This is a nicely packaged and accessible Etna Rosso that communicates its origins with particular clarity in this vintage.
