Quite a different beast to the Watervale. The soil in Polish Hill is far less fertile than that of Watervale; the vines are forced to struggle resulting in small bunches of very intense fruit. This vineyard has always been farmed organically. We still have lots of lemon and lime but there is also some mandarin and bath salt minerality. This slatey/river pebble mineral character is even more evident on the palate. This is quite concentrated but still bright and fresh. One to buy by the dozen and hope to keep your mitts off a handful of bottles for about a decade. - FWC.
