Darker colour and aromatics here: fresh brown spices, liquorice root, herbs, sage, marjoram and earth. There is inherent muscle and structure yet to assert itself but loads of finesse and class. Length, weight and purity are beautifully aligned here in a classic in the making. Very limited. - Todd Slater, FWC.
Rose petal, dried cherry, kirsch, mint, sage, and licorice give the 2014 Barolo Margheria much of its beguiling, nuanced personality. Deceptive in its midweight structure, it packs a serious punch…..The only open question is how much time the 2014 needs, because it is clearly a gorgeous wine in the making. 94 points, Antonio Galloni, vinous.com
