"This is a fine mid-weighted Chardonnay. Transparent, precise. Hewn across a beam of reductive tension and judicious oak handling, this crunchy wine corrals apricot pith, cantaloupe and white fig into a tightly woven kernel of energy. Juicy. Nothing sour, nor brittle. A benchmark at this price, surely."

The Dixons Creek vineyard is Mandala's home, a beautiful, elevated Yarra Valley landscape just perfect for growing quality chardonnay. Rich, ripe fruit characters of stone fruit and melon on the nose, with restrained oak and a lovely hint of orange blossom and vanilla. Ripe pear and golden oak layer with lime cordial and a light fresh citrus acidity in the mouth, while grapefruit and spicy oak linger on the finish. FWC.
