Maison Roche de Bellene Bourgogne Blanc 2015
Burgundy prices keep going up and up and when you’re talking about wines from a famed vintage such as 2015, you can expect to pay a lot. That’s why we were very pleasantly surprised to come across this wine. Not only is it superb value, it is also delicious drinking. It seems to successfully manage to provide ripe primary fruit with good concentration of flavour yet keeps its shape somewhat tight and linear, helped on by juicy acidity and a long finish. Flavours range from red apple to peach, some hints of old oak and a touch of apricot. – Ches Cook, FWC.
