Main Ridge Half Acre Pinot Noir 2019
If I come down to the vineyard and don’t measure out an exact half acre for this wine, I tell you what, I’m gunna be mad… Slinky, slippery, inky red of cherry juice and red plummy fruit flavours, fennel-like greenery in the mix and a light, seaweed character that feels wholly appealing. While fruity and silky it’s also gently savoury, the wine feels quite tight, a little diffuse, despite the flow and medium weight concentration, it draws long and to a fine, feathery tannin-laced conclusion down the trail. Gentle, lovely pinot. Drink 2022 - 2030+. 93+ Points. Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.
