"Larmandier's single-vineyard trilogy is about to become a quartet, after Larmandier purchased a smaller press in 2009 to separate the juice of his two vineyards in Avize. Previously a component of 'Longitude' this site, almost on the flat of Avize, produces a more elegant style. Six months pre-release it's a beach-fresh and youthful blanc de blancs, loaded with grapefruit and crunchy beurre bisc pear. It captures a picture-perfect snapshot of the soft, salty texture of Avize chalk, harmonious yet firm, with well-balanced oak providing structural definition and great sustaining power in the cellar. This sample was disgorged on the spot without dosage, hence is unscored, but worthy of at least 95 points, and perhaps more, with sufficient time to integrate.” – Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide 2014-2015.
