JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese 2012 375ml
Usually my favourite, and it’s right on form – it’s just that the Graacher has punched above its weight this year. Fuller and more fruit-rich than the Graacher with peach, apricot and sweet lime plus a hint of blackcurrant pastille – quite intoxicating and quite open at this early stage. Beautifully elegant with an element of creaminess – how do they achieve this when the wine has so much acid. Extended time on lees I believe. The minerality is all but covered up at this early stage by the opulence of the fruit – hide this one away.
