This wine is brilliant pale yellow in appearance. The nose displays punchy lemon tart, zesty lime juice, freshly grated ginger and quintessential Watervale Riesling musk. The palate delivers intense lime, lemon and grapefruit with an overall generosity of fruit based sweetness. The palate is full, textural and structured with a spine of natural grape acidity and a zesty, clean crisp finish.
'I had this wine served to me blind last week. Immediate thoughts were of a high quality dry German Riesling – mineral, flinty, long and pure. The the first question wrong, then I was in high end Australian, Clare Valley – Grosset, KT or Pikes The Merle. I was absolutely floored when Jim Barry’s fighting brand came out of the bag. Buy this, drink with gusto and cellar five years. A steal !!!' Ian Cook - FWC
