Beautifully lifted black cherry perfume with brambly plum, wild berry compote and a roasted brown spice note. The power of Georgia’s is apparent, yet a certain finesse and elegance in this vintage. Still closed with that Heathcote brambly fruit and tannin structure. An excellent vintage. Cellar 10-20 years – highly recommended. Also available in 375ml and magnums. Ian Cook, FWC.
Mellow fog of perfume, dark cherries, faint lavender, warm forest berry compote, faint mint and fennel and a whiff of clove. Moody, lovely perfume. Fleshy textured but with defined ribbons of tannin, flavours dark, brooding, earthy, and drawn long. Seamless flow, superb ‘seasoning’ of oak, velvety but with enough grip to tune the palate. Excellent wine. Rated: 95 Points. Tasted: September 2018. Drink: 2018 – 2030. Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.
