A notable step up in intensity here. This wine carries a lot of the same flavours as the ‘Estate’ wine, but as well as that, there is a lot more going on below the surface. Spice, briar, forest floor, undergrowth are some of the characters I see here. It has a savoury edge to the finish where tannins are fine but persistent. The aromatics also seem enhanced, too and the mouthfeel commands a presence. A very complete wine with so much to offer. – Ches Cook, FWC.
Medium to full red colour with a good tint of purple, and a spicy, dark cherry, subtle char-oak combination on the bouquet. The wine is intense and rich, soft and fleshy, wth a core of fruit sweetness and a lot of charm. Velvet texture, good persistence. Lovely wine, loaded with pinoty charm and already very complex.
