Holyman Chardonnay 2016
“Almond and ginger biscuits, discreet and citrus laden, and I’m thinking grapefruit-y goodness, mainly, with a touch of smoke and white flower perfume. It runs tight on rails of cool minerally acidity, yet has a milky softness, like the hands of a baby dipped in oatmeal, along with the zing of real lemonade, with fresh ginger adding that little bit extra. Length is assured, and reassuring, all that flint and chalkiness signing the deal. It’s a great wine. Crackling with energy, yet juicy and approachable. 96 points.” – Gary Walsh, Wine Front.
