Hewitson Ned & Henry's Shiraz 2021

With a small addition of mourvedre, this plump, savoury, red and black fruited shiraz is all grown on classic terra rossa soils (oxidized red iron soils over limestone). A little dark chocolate, liquorice and earth add weight and complexity. Great value drinking and will reward with cellaring. Drink now to 2028. – FWC.

Nutty, blackberry and raspberry, some salted liquorice and sage. Medium-bodied, kind of saline, but juicy too, with lots of black fruit, saltbush, grainy tannin, and a dryish finish of good length. It’s good, has some energy, and drinks well.
