This is a seriously powerful white wine. Beechworth Chardonnay really steps up to the plate here. White peach, almonds, tonic-like herb notes, cedarwood, crushed fennel and a smoky, minerally trail of flavour through the extended finish. Oak sits high in the wine at first but the charge of fruit, earth and rock notes quickly crash on through.
