envinate-migan-listan-negro-2021
Envinate 'Migan' Listan Negro 2021

The word Migan is the name for the centre of the valley of Orotava in language of the indigenous population of the Canary Islands. Unlike Los Realejos this zone is marked by red volcanic soils with texture closer to clay. Envinate farm four old vine parcels in this zone between 300m and 600m absl, all planted to Listan Negro grown in the Terezendo system. Three parcels are fermented in 600l old oak foudre while the fourth goes into concrete. Each with a mix somewhere between 40-70% whole bunches. Migan is always the most reticent and tightly wound of Envinate's Tenerife reds and like Palo Blanco it's tight structure promises longevity. There's an immediate kick of cracked pepper, graphite and rose petal backed by just, ripe, wild, red berry fruit, with that faint raspberry sour mark. Long, precise, with incredibly fine tannin and great freshness. Importer?s notes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0061/3331/7750/products/8608_Image1_46df66fb-b07b-4367-9d7b-e0e7676f9533.jpg?v=1697088719
