From an amazing part of Savoie in a pocket where this producer has been a part of a revitalisation of viticulture and winemaking through the lens of organic farming and gentle winemaking. Ardoisieres' parcels of fruit are farmed on specific soil profiles and bottled as such, but this is a blend of various plots, mostly using the local variety Jacquere, with some other bits and pieces in the mix.

Brilliant, bright, salty and textural white wine. Crisp edges, hazy in the middle, a trail of oceanic minerality stretches long with each sip. Green apple, faint bergamot tea, strong Ricola alpine herb elements, a touch of lemony freshness. Relatively light weight but so full of the details aforementioned that it elevates and titillates for its quiet complexity and general energy. Straight up delicious. Drink 2023-2030. 94 Points.
