Crawford River 'Young Vines' Riesling 2017
A favourite wine of ours as we all already know; this continues to over-deliver on quality. Very similar in style to Crawford River’s ‘Estate’ Riesling, this has a huge amount of power and palate weight for a wine of this young age. Apple crunch and spice sit harmoniously alongside clean acid and citrus notes. It really is quite complex. Delicate citrus flowers and lime zest lead this youthful wine, with fresh white stone fruit and chalky texture on the rounded palate. Clean, taut acidity balance the wine and contribute to its very good persistence. Made to be drunk young but this will last for 10 years in the cellar, too. – FWC.
