Collotte Marsannay 'Les Grasses Tetes' Rouge 2022

From two parcels of old vines; one based on Crinoidal limestone (known in France as Calcaire à Entroques), the other Comblanchien. This wine is very perfumed and pure with real depth, yet showing a lovely minerality and elegance, finishing with great length and very fine tannins.

We're not always a fan of these wines but this certainly impressed us! From the Grasses Tetes vineyard which is likely to be included in Marsannay's first Premier Crus in the coming years.

Very perfumed with rose, peonies, sweet earth and a mix of red to slightly darker aromatics. Great depth and expanse to the palate with the ever so slightly chewy tannin draped underneath the fruit. A great value proposition for red Burgundy here. Jeremy Muller, FWC.
