The pick of the bunch at a recent Bordeaux tasting showcasing new arrivals into the country. This has a generous fruit offering, without swaying into the over-ripe or fruit-sweet spectrum. Rather, the wine is refined and chiselled, and nicely kept in check buy silty and persistent tannins and pockets of graphite and wood spice. Its an elegant offering and a wine that really benefited from the long and gentle ripening season of 2016. – Ches Cook, FWC.
