From vines planted early 1960’s and early 1970’s in this well sited 1er cru located on the Puligny side of the village just above Chenevottes and below Les Chaumees. Another new parcel in 2016, actually two parcels. Vines predominantly 50-60 years old with a small younger plantation.
More depth but a tighter, more closed nose, with subtle ripe citrus accents. Bubbling with energy, waves of mouth-watering flavor – more the intensity of the first wines. Holding beautifully again in the finish – here a mineral agrume finish. Delicious! Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report, October 2019
In contrast to the prior wines, here there is enough sulfur to dominate the underlying fruit. Otherwise there is good richness to the relatively full-bodied flavors that possess good if not special mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a clean, very dry and youthfully austere finale. Lovely. Drink 2026+, 90-92 – Allan Meadows, Burghound.
