Bouchard Meursault 1er Cru 'Genevrieres' 2018
Hints of matchstick and exotic tea add breadth to the ripe, pure and pretty floral and poached pear-scented nose. The elegant middle weight flavors possess a lilting mouthfeel before concluding in a lightly stony, sleek, focused and persistent finish. This is particularly fine in the context of the vintage and it would be fair to describe this as classy. Drink: 2026+ 92 Points; Allen Meadows, Burghound
Wafting from the glass with notes of pear, white flowers, orange oil and fresh pastry, the 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, with lively acids and a long, mineral finish. Bouchard is the second-largest landowner in this premier cru and produces a very consistent cuvée. 91-93+ Points; William Kelley, Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate
