Borgogno 'Cannubi' Barolo 2015
Love a bit of Cannubi, though it’s one of the more expensive crus.
Red cherry, raspberry, liquorice, a little smoke and sweet spices, some orange peel. It’s precise, red fruited, light grip and grain to the tannin, a little reticent as at now, but you can see the potential easily. It feels dense and tightly packed, and the quality of tannin is something extra. Finish is long, spicy, and full of XMAS spice and peel, and black tea. Quiet authority, Drink : 2023 - 2033+. 95 points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
Mature Marasca cherry, rose and menthol aromas mingle with new leather and clove on this structured, linear red. The firm polished palate features crushed raspberry, orange zest, licorice and tobacco framed in taut refined tannins. Drink 2022–2032. 96 points. Kerin O'Keefe, The Wine Enthusiast.
