In my tasting note for the 2007 Bloodwood Shiraz I said “improving with each vintage” and that is exactly what has been happening. The 2014 was fantastic and now the 2015 (released August 2019) is a cracker.
Wow- lifted perfumed aromatics- violets, tight brown spices, cinnamon, star anise, red and black cherry. Medium bodied, beautifully fine, elegant and persistent, yet powerful in its delivery. Cherry, plum, light dried herbs and brown spices. Rich in the middle palate, then taught with wonderful acidity and balance. Great now and for 10 years. Highly recommended. Ian Cook, FWC.
