Leroux’s three barrels of Chambertin were drawn from a parcel of old, biodynamically farmed vines in the heart of the vineyard. The 2019 was vinified with 70% whole bunches and 40% new oak. Again, the less we say the better!
“The 2019 Chambertin Grand Cru comprises three barrels. It has a glorious, beautifully defined bouquet displaying very fine precision and gorgeous mineral tones. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins, perfectly judged acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Just a little lactic on the finish at the moment, but that will disappear with time. Superb.” 96-98 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
