This has a fresh, lively, poached-pear, lemon, hazelnut and praline nose with some gently flinty nuances. The palate has a smooth, yellow-peach edge and a pithy lemon and grapefruit core with attractively sinewy concentration at the finish. 93 Points. Nick Stock, jamessuckling.com.
Layered and mouth-filling from the outset: a real textural experience and a wine that holds immediate presence on the palate. Effortless in its delivery of wax, golden peach, oatmeal and fleshy lemon. Vanilla and honey show glimpses of well-used oak, while golden stone fruit flavours take you straight to high-quality Chardonnay. It’s not a showy wine but certainly has a powerful engine. – Ches Cook, FWC.
