Note: from a .23 ha parcel of 45+ year old vines. A classic Chambolle nose of airy, cool, pure and lacy red berry and stone nose complements to perfection the very firm but not hard medium-bodied flavors that are linear and long on the moderately austere finish. Very fine quality here. Drink: 2016+

Medium red. Blackberry, menthol and a whiff of wild herbs on the nose. Juicy and silky but imploded; saturates the mouth with a briary perfume but this is tighter and much less fleshy today than the Beaux-Bruns. Best today on the long, gripping, youthfully taut finish, which features firm but rather suave tannins.
