Like Chatelots, Aux Combottes sits on the silt-rich alluvial fan of the La Combe (the central valley) of Chambolle. This makes it more accessible when young compared to the more structured wines produced by Barthod in the Crus to the north of the village. Barthod farms 0.18 hectares, yielding just two barrels in a good year.
