Our top value for money red in the shop. Langhorne Creek does this effortlessly. Impressive depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aniseed and liquorice aromas meld into ripe blackberry and choc mint with toasty vanillin oak and spice also evident. Rich black cherry, liquorice and blackberry flavours swamp the palate over a background of smoky vanillin cedar with a burst of black pepper on the firm-ish finish. Stern robust tannins provide some grip to the medium length black pepper laced finish. – Ian Cook, Five Way Cellars
