Sourced from a vineyard planted at great density (6000 vines per hectare). 30% whole-bunch is used – not in search of stalky flavours but rather to muster the character gained from carbonic maceration which is intrinsically linked to whole-bunch fermentation. The result is a wine that beguiles you from the outset with its fresh and ripe cherry fruits wrapped up in coiled acidity. There is spice here too, but it’s the weight, energy and purity of the wine that makes it so good and so seductive now. The complexity and intensity will arrive in due course and the structure will ensure a delicious ride through to 2025 and beyond. Highly recommended. - Todd Slater, FWC.
