Tasted in the Hunter Valley, blind, in a bracket of 94 2019 vintage wines. No drinking windows entered.
Brooding, dark berry, dark cherry, plummy fruited red. Thick set and muscular to taste, yet holds an athletic medium weight in feel. Good wash of flavour, a little looser knit in texture with powdery tannins helping things gently on their way. Finishes gummy, chewy, with good length. Structured red. 93 Points.
